Wedding Photos

Eric Limon, our wedding photographer just posted our wedding photos.  There is a slideshow of selected photos at Eric’s website.

“How should we dress?”

We have gotten this question a lot. The answer that we’ve been giving is, “Whatever you’d like. The priority is that you are comfortable and that you have fun that day.” Make sure it’s clothes that will give you room for the plentiful meal, and comfortable shoes that will allow you to boogie all night.

Otherwise, you are more than welcome to dress up or down as much as you want. You’ll fit right in no matter what you wear because you’re among very close family and friends.

We are very excited to see everyone soon. VERY SOON!!!!

Hotel wedding room block information now available

We just managed to visit the hotels near Harris’ Pelham Inn. Please disregard the hotels enclosed with the invitations. They were even less impressive than we had expected. See the HOTEL page for info on Wyndham Hotel we recommend.

Wedding Registry Information

We are very sorry for the delay.  We will post links on this website as soon as we get the registry stuff sorted out.

Update: We’ve added a page for the gift registry - click here.

Prospective First Dance Songs

Paul and I have rather divergent tastes in music.  There was definitely cause for much laughter when it came to settling on the one song for our first dance.

Some songs we both liked.  “Yeah, it’s nice, but…”  Others were greeted with a “No way, you cannot be serious!”  “Crystal Gale?!?!?!  NO.”  And so forth.

Then we heard a song that made us fall silent.  We both looked at each other and smiled.  That was it.  :-)

And now that we have a song, I thought it would be fun to share with you some of the top contenders.

  • Sea of Love, The Honeydrippers
  • I Swear, John Michael Montgomery
  • This Magic Moment, The Drifters
  • You and I, Crystal Gayle and Eddie Rabbitt
  • I’ll Be Your Mirror, Clem Snide
  • Amazed, Lonestar
  • Book of Love, The Magnetic Fields

I’d love to hear what you danced to for your first dance.

Or for giggles, what would you suggest for us?

It’s all coming together…

As of last weekend, we put down deposits for both the DJ and photographer.

Paul and I also worked on the design of the wedding program.  We tweaked and tweaked (and tweaked…) the draft prototypes.  We now have a final prototype that we are both happy with.

Check.  Check.  Check.  :-D

(P.S. Don’t ask about the wedding dress just yet.  That is still… thought in progress.)

Welcome family and friends!

Woohoo! We’re getting married! :-D

Since we are both web geeks, we’ve put together this website as a place for any news and information related to our upcoming wedding.

We will continue to add things when they become available, including registry information, wedding and honeymoon photos, online RSVP option, etc.

This is what we’ve achieved so far in our planning:

  1. Paul proposed and Kim said “Yes!”
  2. We selected the venue and date
  3. We designed the Save-the-date cards and the wedding invitations
  4. We’ve put together the guest list - this ranks pretty high among the hardest tasks we’ve had to do
  5. We finished the design and development of our wedding website
  6. We finished the printing, cutting, glueing, knotting, addressing of the save-the-date cards and we will mail them out shortly to officially announce the wedding date and this website
  7. We are now just starting to tackle the music, officiant, flowers, dress, honeymon, and the nine gazillion other things that we don’t even know yet that we will have to think about. :-)

We’re sort of winging this, so if there is anything that you think should be here, let us know. Also, if you have any questions, then you can post them in the comments.

We look forward to seeing you on May 24th of 2009…or actually, we hope to see each of you sooner if possible.
